Belial's bedroom is very large, decadent, and red. Warm, muted lighting reflects off dark red walls and red curtains surrounding his huge four-poster bed - with red silk sheets, of course, and lots of pillows and cushions with elaborate brocade covers. Leaning on a wall near the bed is an ornate, bronze-framed full-length mirror. Most of the furniture looks antique, and the faint scents of incense and sandalwood and rosewater are in the air.

Near the foot of the bed is an equally decadent red couch with similar cushions, and there are a few mahogany display tables for his vases, statuettes and other ornaments. Close to his bed, covered by heavy, dark red curtains, is a pair of French windows leading to a large balcony housing a lush garden.

The rug is soft enough for your toes to sink into, and the sheets are very comfortable.

lordofsin: (Hmmm)
I know I haven't been active much lately - I haven't written much of anything besides snippets I won't post because of incompleteness - because uni and suddenly having a social life that's not online and stuff have all been exhausting. However, I'm in the last week of semester, study break's coming up, and I feel the urge to write and role-play and basically just create.

So this is basically an open call; if you feel like RPing with me and my Belial (or Gabriel, or Bast), finishing old incomplete threads, starting new ones, anything, just drop me a line. :D

This is a very rough outline of what Belial’s palace and the Northern Realm of Hell are like in my head; I will likely make changes to it as they come to me.

Description of Belial's palace )

(Meanwhile, I think of Heaven as a mishmash of the Silver City from Murder Mysteries and Lucifer, and the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi with regards to architecture XD

Specifically, the main prayer room there inspired my version of the throne room. In the main prayer room, one huge wall was covered with a beautiful curling vine pattern done in white gold so it reflected the light beautifully, and every now and then it formed a flower; inside each flower was one of the names of God (Schemhemphora, if I recall correctly?), in Arabic, and the focal point of that wall was an alcove with alternating wavy lines of gold and marble symbolising the river of milk and honey in Paradise; over that was the biggest flower with the biggest name in Arabic, presumably 'Allah'. I've made a few tweaks to that to get my Throne Room; maybe one day I'll put a description in Gabriel's journal.)

Belial raised an eyebrow as he entered his palace... )

Ficbit

This is an image that insists it get a much longer story to itself; the story is just as stubborn about not coming easily. The lovely [personal profile] emberlight  suggested I just try to get this paragraph down first, without worrying too much about the plot. So until I finally get that fic done... here, have the image that distracts me at work. Huge thanks to [personal profile] glacialphoenix  for the beta! <3

All eyes are on the woman dancing in the circle of firelight, coins at her hip and bangles at her wrists jingling, ruddy glow playing over smooth skin. The beat of the music is low, intense, thrumming through them as she curves gracefully, leans back, does something sinuous with her spine. She moves surely, sensuously, the sway of her hips slow and seductive, as her smoky gaze sweeps the circle of men, keeping them transfixed.

I made some attempt to further describe the way she was dancing - I can see it VERY clearly in my head - but deleted it. Trying to capture it is hard. ;_; Also, the hunt for a female PB I'm satisfied with continues!
